Cherry Mobile Taiji sports an e-ink back display

Filipino mobile phone company Cherry Mobile will be the first ever local brand to release an Android phone with an e-ink back display through one of its latest phones slated for a December release, the Cherry Mobile Taiji.

eReader Pricelist page is updating!

I've just added a new page tab, the "eReader Pricelist" where I've listed major e-readers (mostly e-ink readers) and their corresponding prices I've got from their official product sites and e-commerce sites such as Amazon and Banggood. I haven't listed all the prices yet (currently researching all of it) and most of them are in USD and EUR (as I have used the official pricing) and a few in PHP as some are available in the e-commerce site Lazada. Please feel free to comment if you have suggestions or if there's a typo or if I have missed something. Meanwhile, I'll be updating this in a weekly basis, hopefully!

Electronic reading or e-reading may not be of much hype here in the Philippines, though I can see people reading novels using reading apps on their phones, and a few using Kindle or Kobo. Also there are a lot of people who still prefer to read physical books. Of course, books are very hard to replace: the smell and feel of paper fresh from print is so addictive! But the thought of bringing books (if you read a lot) to read if you are traveling seems like a bad idea. This is where e-readers come to mind. I'm not taking sides though as I both read a physical and an e-book. Best of both worlds!
